About Business
Welcome to the Bay Horse Inn, originally a Burgage in the time of King Edward 1st the Bay Horse housed Cromwellian officers during the English Civil War.
This Traditional English pub offers the very best locally sourced ingredients to produce some of the best mouth watering meals around. Served with a range of Original REAL ALES, this is a must visit for anyone who is coming to pickering.
Tradition has it that Cromwell himself stayed here circa 1640. Indeed reflecting these troubled times a ‘Hidehole’ has been discovered between the walls. During its long history ‘the Bay’ is known to have had its own Stables, Brewhouse, Cottages and Orchard and has always been associated with the Towns fishermen.
